Chinese- American Economic Reform

This is going to be a sort of micro post, but something interesting to think about. I was in my China, Japan US class, and we were talking about the currency problems with china’s manipulation of currency. Well food for thought, the US just dropped huge amounts of money into the US economy total manipulating the value of US currency and Chinese debt and the world, at large.
So the question I ask is how can we hold China to standards and ask them to not manipulate their currency when we have done it ourselves?
I don’t want to see America regressing…Food for thought
